Chad Skinner

Professional Summary

Chad Skinner graduated from the Hugh Wooding Law School, Trinidad and Tobago in 2020. It was there where he obtained his Legal Education Certificate, held the position as Treasurer of the Cultural and Entertainment Committee, and participated in both the Intellectual Property and Alternative Dispute Resolution specialist clinics. After graduating Chad was awarded the privilege of an internship at The Barbados Supreme Court.

Prior to attending the Hugh Wooding Law School, Chad obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree with Honors from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus in 2018, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Law with Honors from the same in 2016. Whilst at university he was an active member of UWI STAT Cave Hill and held the position of Treasurer of the Guild of Students Union.

Chad’s legal interests are centered around Corporate and Commercial Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Conveyancing. Beyond the law, his interests include Finance, in particular Fintech, Securities and Derivatives, Science and Technology, with a focus on its potential impact on the Caribbean region. His interest in science and technology were further nurtured when he held the post of National Point of Contact for the Space Generation Advisory Council.
