Professional Summary

Micaela was admitted to the Barbados Bar in 2013.  Micaela spent ten years with a leading law firm prior to joining InterCaribbean Legal.  Her years of practice have been spent advising, managing and dealing with real estate transactions, loan securities transactions, debt collection and estate planning.  Micaela has advised property developers (Adams Castle, Vineyard, Carmichael Crescent, The Estates at St. George), financial institutions (Republic Bank (Barbados) Limited, FirstCaribbean International Bank (Barbados) Limited, Scotiabank (Barbados) Limited) as well as individual and corporate clients.

Micaela boasts a strong academic background.  She is a 2008 Barbados Exhibitioner recipient and holds an Upper Second Class Honours LLB from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus.  She graduated from the Hugh Wooding Law School on the Principal’s Honour Roll in 2013.  Micaela obtained a Diploma in International Trust with Distinction in 2020 and was awarded the 2021 STEP Excellence Award.

In her spare time, Micaela has a passion for charitable work. She is a lover of travelling, the performing arts and spending time with her family and friends.
