Shirley Beharre Procope

Professional Summary

After having spent 24 years in and around the practise of Law first as Legal Secretary and Office Manager to Elliott D Mottley QC and later as Legal Assistant and Office Manager to Zarina Khan, Shirley Beharre Procope obtained her Law Degree with honours from the University of Wolverhampton in 2006. She attended the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago and obtained her Legal Education Certificate in 2013. Shirley was called to the Bar in Barbados in October 2013 and joined Hastings Attorneys-at-Law as an Associate that same year until joining Inter Caribbean Legal in 2024 as Senior Associate.

Shirley’s practice is focused on Real Estate and Conveyancing, and she has a wealth of experience working on developments including transactions involving Sugar Hill Development, Sugar Bay Development, Royal Westmoreland, Adams Castle, Vineyard, The Estates at St. George and Carmichael Crescent. Her practice areas include mortgage transactions, residential and commercial leases, estates, and high-value debt recovery and trademarks.
